It’s here! It’s Now!!!….

The ticklish buzz in our tummies and the redness of our cheeks is a sweet reminder that Valentine is here again!
But for Peregrine Reads and the #CHILDHERO Project, it’s not just a valentine day but also a #CHILDHERO DAY!

The long anticipated Peregrine Reads #CHILDHERO funfair is today.

Today, Peregrine reads in collaboration with the Soroptimists International of Surulere shall celebrate the children in a grand funfair event which hopes to celebrate the children and promote their creative talents as part of its campaign for the less-privileged children.

The CHILD HERO campaign has picked a day as today, “Valentine’s day” as a day for the celebration of love and reach-out to the children especially the less-privileged ones whose focus is the core of the campaign.

The day is chockfull of so much performances from both the children and youths who will be in attendance, to motivate, inspire and to entertain.

At the #CHILDHERO funfair, there will be lots of snacks, gift items, food, drinks, music, and special performances for and by the children.

The CHILD HERO event will be hosting the following Orphanages, Public & Private Schools, Organisations and bodies:
– Friends of Jesus Orphanage Home
– Arrows of God orphanage home
– Ebenezary Heights primary & Secondary school
– Lekki Peninsula Primary & Secondary school
– Poets in Nigeria Organisation (& it’s children arm)
– Representatives of the Soroptimists International
– The Dance Machines

And a host of others…

On the lookout of the event will be personalities from the movie and entertainment industry who will also join us as we celebrate with the children at the CHILD HERO event which has been organised specially for them.

The #CHILDHERO funfair will also premiere its project movie “Children of the streets” and everyone in attendance will have a first-time opportunity of watching the film from the winning story of the 2015 Peregrine Reads Short story competition.

APPRECIATION TO SPONSORS…

As the event slowly begins, I wish to sincerely appreciate everyone who have (both financially and otherwise) sponsored Peregrine Reads #CHILDHERO project. Without your extended hands, it could never have happened. There’s a long roll of names of sponsors to be mentioned (Corporate & Individual bodies). Watch out for the list!

Your support has indeed set the ball rolling on the event of today as you have assisted in making the funfair event possible for young talents to develop and promote their creative skills.

I believe the funfair/Talent show will broaden their creativity even further as they will have the opportunity to express themselves better and be rewarded with items which will be valuable to their welfare and discipline.

Peregrine Reads & it’s entire #CHILDHERO Team is filled with immense gratitude for your support. Thank you!
