On the 7th day of Christmas, Jane Karina brings you:

There’s something about winter
That I can’t quite place.
The warm snow,
A delicate blanket
For wandering souls
And loving families.
Shining lights of comfort
With the roars of people
And the fake bells of Santa,
Summoning his unbuttoned elves.
Choirs of prepubescent singing
In front of green trees
And green paper,
They uphold tradition.
There’s something about winter
That’s quite special.
